Membership includes a subscription to SEOPA News, which is published eight times annually and contains craft improvement articles, outdoor medical information, member news, a calendar of events and other information valuable to all outdoor communicators.

Membership Directory

SEOPA?s membership directory allows for networking with more than 320 fellow communicators and more than 240 corporate members. A hard copy is published annually and an electronic version is available in the Members Only section of the Web site.

Fall Conference

The SEOPA annual fall conference, a four-day event, encompasses educational workshops conducted by top professionals in the fields of writing, photography, book publishing, computer technology and other areas of outdoor communication; Breakout Day, where members can see and use the latest outdoor products displayed by manufacturers, and the Shooting Event for testing the newest rifles, shotguns, handguns and bows. Pre- and post-conference trips are offered in the conference state that provide opportunities for gathering new story material and photos. The conference also allows members to exchange ideas and experiences, and provides an opportunity to renew acquaintances and formulate future business opportunities.

The next conference will take place in North Little Rock, Ark., Oct. 3-6, 2007.

Web Site

Our Web site provides an interactive directory in the Members Only section with links to corporate members? Web sites and a search mechanism for finding fellow members. Eventually, members will be able to renew memberships and register for the annual conference online. New features will be added to the site to enhance its use.
